At Taylor-West & Co Optometrists, we have made a conscious decision to provide something different from the typical optician experience. Your eye examination will last 45 minutes (or longer if necessary) which allows us time to discuss any problems you may be having, as well as thoroughly going through all your results with you. We will ask you about your lifestyle and vision needs, and give you advice tailored to your specific requirements.
We have invested in the most up-to-date equipment, including the same technology used in eye hospitals to diagnose conditions such as macular degeneration, retinal detachments and glaucoma, so you will receive the most thorough eye examination possible. All this technology is included in our eye examination meaning you will never feel pressured into paying for something extra. If you need to have a test repeated, there is no extra charge (if repeated within a month). So you can be safe in the knowledge that no stone has been left unturned.
Once your eye examination has been completed, we will advise you on the best course of action for correcting your vision. It is our policy (and a matter of professional integrity) NEVER to pressurise anyone into buying new spectacles if they don’t need them.
You may be tempted by our range of beautiful frames, but there will never be a ‘hard sell’. It simply makes us uncomfortable, and by always giving you the best advice we hope to earn your trust and, when you really do need new glasses, your business.
Our Promise
Our most comprehensive eye examination as standard. No hidden extras. We don’t do the ‘puff test’! Everyone hates it, and there is a more efficient, more accurate way of measuring your eye pressures, which is much more pleasant.
We won’t push you into buying anything you don’t need. We will simply present the options, make a professional recommendation and make every effort to find the best possible solution for your needs.
