I am an independent prescribing Optometrist, qualified in 1995 and with a wealth of expertise mainly in the independent optical sector. I also work within the Glaucoma and A&E services at Sussex Eye Hospital, managing a wide range of both acute and long-term eye conditions.

Over the years, I have developed special interests in dry eye management, complex contact lens fitting, and helping individuals with visual stress — areas where personalised care and clinical expertise can make a lasting difference.

In practice, I am passionate about delivering the highest quality eye care in a welcoming and relaxed environment, where patients not only benefit from expert clinical attention but also have access to the very best in eyewear, so I was excited when Sophie asked me to join the team at TWC as the practice exemplifies this.

When not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors and keeping active. I have an allotment where I grow my own produce, especially good for growing all those eye-friendly leafy greens! Music is also hugely important to me – I sing in a local choir and head off to the Opera whenever I can. I travel far and wide and can never go too long without a visit to the Welsh homeland for bracing walks with my dogs.
