COVID-19 Update (10/07/20)
We are now fully open for routine eye examinations and contact lens aftercare appointments. Please click here to see how we plan to keep everyone safe.
We are not currently offering standard, non-essential contact lens fitting appointment for new lens wearers. This is because the time spent in close quarters during a contact lens handling lesson is deemed an unnecessary risk by the College of Optometrists. We are, however, able to offer refit appointments for existing lens wearers, and new fits when contact lenses are clinically indicated, for example for people with keratoconus or other eye disease.
See your Optician with new eyes!
Don’t you just hate feeling like you’re being given a sales patter when you go to the opticians? Do you really need that extra test, those new glasses or special lens coatings? Isn’t it annoying when you’re not given enough time during your consultation to ask questions and feeling like you’ve just been passed along the conveyor belt? Well, we hate all that too.
Going to the optician can be a stressful experience. As an independent, private practice, Taylor-West & Co Optometrists aim to provide the antithesis to the usual tiresome optician experience. Sophie Taylor-West has worked in practices where the emphasis is on selling glasses and not on the quality of care. It’s no fun for you or the optometrist. If you’d like an enjoyable experience in a stylish, relaxed and caring optical practice, with the most thorough eye examination you’ve probably ever had, we’d love to meet you and show you why our service is second to none.
